Cookulate

Terms of Use

Effective August 19, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Cookulate app and this website. By creating an account or using Cookulate, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The subscription

Cookulate offers a free 7-day trial, after which continued access requires an auto-renewing subscription (billed monthly or annually, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase). Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings — Cookulate has no ability to cancel it for you directly, since it's handled entirely through Apple.

If you cancel during the free trial, you won't be charged. If you cancel after the trial converts to a paid subscription, you'll keep access through the end of the period you already paid for, and it won't renew again after that.

Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app, which permanently removes your account and everything in it.

Acceptable use

Use Cookulate for its intended purpose — planning meals, managing recipes, and building grocery lists for your own household. Don't use it to violate any law, infringe on anyone else's rights, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

Content you import

When you import a recipe from a photo or a link, Cookulate extracts the ingredients and steps for your own personal use. You're responsible for having the right to use whatever source material you import.

No warranty

Cookulate is provided "as is." Recipe extraction, dietary flag guesses, and cooking suggestions are best-effort — always use your own judgment, especially around allergies, dietary restrictions, and food safety. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Cookulate and its developer aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
